There’s nothing more romantic than ditching the big wedding plans in favor of a small intimate ceremony thats focuses on what’s most important, you two. Take a look at Sasha and Stephen’s elopement at Fontenelle Forest.

“Stephen and I met in the most traditional way that you can today – on a dating app! The two of us shared an undeniable connection from the first time we met, even though we come from completely different backgrounds. Stephen comes from smaller town in Mississippi, while I grew up in Mumbai India, a city of 20 million people. We’re best friends that love to try new foods, travel, read, and entertain friends & family. We try to make the most of any new experience thrown our way. Being an interracial couple, I just wanted to share our story for those out there looking for love and shed a little light on the fact that love has absolutely no boundaries pertaining to race, place, culture, or religion.
Although we were so excited to join our families and cultures together on our big day in May, we instead decided to honor ourselves and our love with our own little elopement due to current circumstances. We realized that the two of us was all that really mattered in the end. May 23rd was our day, and will still be our day going forward.
If we were asked to describe our vision for our elopement, we would say dreamy, effortless, and magical. Fontanelle forest brought that to life for us. What is better than getting married beneath the trees, as it provides the most natural and earthy backdrop. It was absolutely dreamy.
For the bridal dress I decided to go with something plain and flowy. And for my accessories I wanted to use fresh wild flowers, as if they were just picked out of my garden. Lavish flower design exceeded my expectations. It was stress free, and effortless, and it made me feel beautiful like every bride should feel on their wedding day.
Last but not least we wanted it to feel magical, like we were in a fairy tale, and our photographer Andrea Nuxoll made that come to life for us. Our elopement may not have included all our near and dear ones but there was magic, and it was captured perfectly.
After it was all over, we realized we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Our elopement was perfect. “
